
Walmart+ is a new service that delivers Walmart deeper into the instant home-shopping industry.
Task
Translate Walmart branding guidelines into a full-fledged, unique execution of the Walmart+ brand on the web and mobile during the learning and onboarding process of the membership experience.
Process
Working with Walmart's design director, we generated design patterns that met the technical, user, and business needs through quick design sprints to hone the overall execution of the Walmart+ brand.
Result
Digital components and patterns for mobile and web dictated the future application of the Walmart+ design system across digital assets. Walmart saw a massive influx of membership sign-ups and increased company revenue by approximately 7% in 2020, beating original expectations.
Landing UnRegistered
The landing page for Walmart+ had to do approximately three things: Fold in Walmart+ into the Walmart brand while remaining unique. Engage Walmart's major target demographic emotionally through visuals. Show the main value propositions of Walmart+ membership while generating engaging copy with UX writers.

Landing Registered
When a user logs into Walmart+, the website will change to accommodate that logged-in user, prompting them to download the app or engage Walmart+ content and membership unique to that user.

Navigation
Walmart wanted us to focus on creating a design distinctly different from the Walmart.com experience. Instead of white, we went full blue and brought more visuals to the design that helped distinguish it from its navigation sibling.

Membership Benefits
Sometimes, people want more details before taking the plunge into a new membership. So, through collaboration with Walmart's strategy team, I designed a page that listed all the top reasons people ought to use Walmart+ in their daily routine.
